You will of course notice how most of these are of people's backs...baby steps right? Here are a few from today...there seems to be no rhyme nor reason...more of a "do I have the courage" endeavor.
Traci great start! From the images I can barely tell you are as frighten as you say. I think the shots that are working the most are hose of individuals. It seems that you are interested in portraiture and want to give a visual presence to each person. I suggest coming in closer and taking the next step, talking to people and seeing how they will respond to you. Also, think more about composition, the edges of the frame, the vanishing point, the background and foreground relationships, the vertical lines. On of the more powerful compositions out of this set is the 3rd one, the lines really leading the viewer into the frame, the tilt of the heads in opposite directions. There is a great sense of space and really nice balance. The second to last image is also quite striking, especially in its use of color. However, what if we could see more clearly the expression on this guy's face? I think it would make the picture stronger. Come closer to your subjects and remember if its a candid moment you are after, just hold your breath and pretend you are invisible! In a lot of cases people are too absorbed in their own thoughts to notice you.
